Introduction

We would like to introduce you to the Stoke sub Hamdon Sports and Recreation Trust, Charity Number 1063874, which is an entirely a volunteer based organisation that was established in 1996 and registered as a charity in 1997.

The Sports and Recreation Trust is an unincorporated charitable association and its main aims are to provide sports and recreation facilities for the whole community.  Its memberships is made up from organisations within the community and individuals who wish to further the aims of the Trust.  The member organisations currently comprise:

  • The Parish Council,
  • Stoke Senior Football Club,
  • Stoke Youth Football Club, and
  • Castle School Governors / Friends of Castle School.

We currently have five major areas of activity in the Sports and Recreation Trust and we are organised into five sub-committees to manage these activities, as follows:
